In April 2010, President Obama gave a speech in Tampa, FL where he shared his amusement over anti-tax rallies being held around the country, suggesting instead that they should be saying "thank you." The Campaign for Working Families (CWF) asked Design4 Marketing Communications for help in developing a web video highlighting the contrast between his amusement and the strong passion of those attending those rallies. The result is "No Thank You," a short web video that leads with the President's remarks and finishes with responses from average taxpayers.
Design4 filmed the spot entirely on location in and around Plant City, Fl on a DSLR platform using actors holding blank signs. Text was composited over the signs with facts from CWF about the impact of President Obama's tax increases. Shooting, editing, compositing, and music were completed and delivered in four days.
Design4 conducted a companion social media effort which targeted likely viewers, resulting in immediate pickup and distribution.
